Both are excellent compact Atmos soundbars. The Sonos Beam wins if you value multi-room audio and the Sonos ecosystem. The Bose 600 wins on price and dual voice assistant support.

Detailed Comparison
Two compact Atmos soundbars, and I reckon the question is really about ecosystems and your smart home setup. The Sonos Beam Gen 2 wins decisively if you're already building a Sonos setup or thinking about it long-term. The multi-room audio capability is genuinely unmatched in this category. Pair it with the Sonos Sub and some Era surround speakers and you've got a proper system that costs money but sounds excellent. The app experience is the best in the category, and Trueplay calibration actually works rather than just feeling like placebo. But it costs $614. The Bose Soundbar 600 usually hits $477 on sale, so you're looking at a $100 to $150 difference when the Bose is discounted. The Bose has both Alexa and Google Assistant built in, while Sonos makes you choose one voice assistant and commit to it for the lifetime of the device. Both sound excellent for their size and form factor. The Bose is slightly warmer in tone, the Sonos slightly wider soundstage. It's marginal. If you're already in the Sonos ecosystem or planning to be, the Beam wins. If you want dual voice assistant flexibility and don't care about expanding into a multi-room system later, the Bose 600 is the better value play.Buying in Australia
