Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using TopProducts by RefDat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the site.
2. Content Accuracy and Editorial Opinion
TopProducts is my honest opinion based on research. It's not professional advice. Prices and product details change, so always verify things on the retailer's site before you buy.
I don't guarantee that:
- All product info is 100% current
- Prices I show are still live (check the retailer)
- A product is actually in stock right now
- Ratings apply to every single variant or colour
Do your own checks before you buy. That's just sensible.
3. Affiliate Disclosure
I'm part of the eBay Partner Network and the Amazon Associates Programme, and earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through those links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. No extra cost to you. I might also earn commissions from other affiliate programs down the track.
This doesn't influence how I rate products. Scores are calculated independently, full stop. Read my methodology page to see exactly how I work.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on TopProducts by RefDat, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of RefDat or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws.
You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of site content is prohibited.
Product images, descriptions, and prices sourced from third parties (retailers, manufacturers, etc.) retain their original ownership and copyright.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TopProducts by RefDat and its owners are not liable for:
- Any damages resulting from use or inability to use the site
- Product defects, injuries, or losses from purchases you make
- Inaccurate product information or broken links
- Viruses, security breaches, or unauthorized access
- Third-party content or affiliate partner actions
This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy is to discontinue using the site.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Australian Consumer Law gives you a 2-year minimum warranty on most products, regardless of what the manufacturer claims. If something's broken, you deal with the retailer or manufacturer, not me.
For safety issues or recalls, report it to the ACCC.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use at any time without notice. Your continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms. I recommend reviewing this page periodically.
