I reckon the Britax Safe-n-Sound B-First is the better car seat for Australian families. It's been around for ages, it's got a brilliant safety record, and the ISOFIX system is intuitive. The seat is comfortable for bub, it's easy to adjust the harness, and it grows with your kid. The Maxi-Cosi Pria is lighter and more portable, which is nice if you're moving between cars a lot. But the Britax feels more solid, the engineering is German-level, and honestly, it just feels safer. Both seats pass Australian safety standards with flying colours. The Pria is cheaper, which is attractive. But I'd rather spend a bit more and know my kid's in the best seat. The Britax ISOFIX connectors feel more solid, the harness adjustment is smoother, and it's actually easier to install correctly (which is the whole point).
