All-in-one kitchen machines are brilliant if you cook regularly and you're willing to spend decent money. They promise to do everything - chopping, mixing, cooking, blending - and honestly, the good ones actually deliver. But there's a massive difference between a machine that does everything half-decently and one that actually excels at multiple tasks. I've tested the big players in this category, and it's worth understanding what you're getting for your money.
The Thermomix is the expensive option, but it's genuinely in a different league if you're serious about cooking. It heats and cooks while blending and mixing, which opens up possibilities other machines just can't match. The KitchenAid Cook Processor is brilliant if you want something that handles prep work and cooking without breaking the bank. Breville's all-in-one is excellent for people who want a quality machine that looks flash and performs reliably. The Mistral is your budget option - it won't do everything perfectly, but it handles the basics without draining your savings.
These machines aren't for everyone. If you're cooking for four people several nights a week, they're genuinely useful. If you're cooking once a week, you're probably better off with separate, simpler tools. Think carefully about what you actually cook and what you'd really use. Then pick based on your budget and what matters most to you.

Breville's All in One delivers serious multi-function capability at a third the Thermomix price. 15 preset programs and smart cooking make it genuinely useful.
Mistral's budget cooker does basic all-in-one cooking without the premium price. It's limited but honest value at $249, especially from Aldi.
